She and He

For decades, we have been struggling with trying to figure out how to address the LGBTQ. Especially the transgender generation wants to be addressed by its proper name. So I have a suggestion. When we look at the word she, we realize that he is already in the word she. So it covers both sexes. So how about we call everyone she? And then we can say, for instance, in a sentence, it's not his or her handbag, it's she's handbag. And I know that the Webster Dictionary always has changes in word interpretations. And so it could become an official Webster Dictionary word. Of course, if someone wants to be called he or she, that right, of course, remains. I do not believe anyone could be offended by this. Which then brings me to the other problem of the bathroom situation. As we all have seen, in many places, there are already family bathrooms. And in my opinion, that is all we need. We do not need women's and men's bathrooms. We need family bathrooms. In fact, I believe it may be safer for a parent who's worried to let a little girl or boy go to the bathroom by themselves, go into a family bathroom where there's the possibility of a mom changing a baby's diapers, and men and women are in there, and there's much less possibility of lingering, if you will. We Americans have a funny attitude about body parts. But obviously, the reality of having already created a family bathroom has overcome that. And men will get used to using a stall. And perhaps there could be accommodations made in an area to install urinals. Generally speaking, the Europeans are a bit ahead in that human body philosophy and do not get so offended by nakedness. And I understand there has to be integrity. But I really do believe a family bathroom could work, including in the schools.

In another subject, the marriage laws, LGBTQ has won a lot of the legal aspects of marriage law in many states. But I have always wondered, why do we want to perpetuate laws that are so antiquated and outdated to begin with, as marriage laws are? Laws should be written for the benefit of all. And the marriage laws no longer reflect today's society. So let's maybe take a look at that and start working on that as well in the future. Stay tuned.
