Is That Really Necessary

It started already a few years ago. However, it's getting worse. What am I talking about? Watching TV. As an introduction, frequently. They show pictures of the subject they're going to talk about. Not just one or two pictures. No. It's a series of pictures that goes so fast by, that one cannot really take in any individual picture. You get the whole idea, but it goes by so fast, that it is really annoying. Then, during the series or the presentation, frequently there is music to underscore the subject. The music frequently overrides, the voices. And that becomes so annoying. It is even true in recent films. And turning up the volume really doesn't help because the music just gets louder. And then of course in between the commercials, if you have your setting a normal volume, whatever that means for you. The commercials will just start blasting. Am I the only one that notices that? Are the younger generations more immune to it? I don't know, but I would love to see a movement to producers of TV and film. To tone the background down a bit. And slow down. And let us appreciate what we see. Perhaps it is because I'm truly the old woman. I never wanted to be. But here we are. And maybe it's just me. Or is it?

Speaking of bathrooms, we need to speak about toilet paper. What's going on with the toilet paper? Perhaps because it is that I'm living in assisted living, but certainly there is no ply and. The no ply. To start a roll. Is sealed with glue. To start the roll, one has to undo the glue part. And for the elderly, this is a real problem. So, while I try to do it, a piece of paper at a time, it is so frustrating that I will finally hook in my fingers underneath and just rip open. that I can start that roll of toilet paper. And I'm now left with a bunch of paper in my hand that while I try to use it, really such a waste. Don't we have a better solution to toilet paper? Stay tuned.
